My
work is primarily concerned with archaeology. I
am intrigued by the marks and traces left behind
by people on places and objects and the stories
they tell.
The
paintings are constructed from layers of plaster
and oil paint built up and then scratched through
to expose the layers beneath.
Recent
work has concentrated on interpreting marks visible
in the landscape when viewed from the air and the
way these represent a 'map' of time.
